The Major league is for players with playing ages of 11 and 12. These players move beyond the limited game of the minor league and start playing real baseball. Stealing, lead offs, and plays at the plate will be common place. Click on the following link for more majors related information.

Practices:  Typically starts first week in April – practice schedule depends on coach

Games: Typically starts around May 1st and ends prior to July 4th – Games are played Monday through Saturday throughout the season.

NOTE- we typically divide the majors into 2 or 3 groups (first year, second year, middle / mixed group).  We then schedule the groups according (the top group plays each other with a few of the middle group, the middle group plays each other with a few of the top and a few of the lower, etc.)

Mercy rule changes
– 15 runs after 3 innings (2 1/2 if home team winning)
– 12 runs after 4 innings (3 1/2 if home team winning)
– 10 runs after 5 innings (4 1/2 if home team winning)
In addition, if a game is more than 10 runs difference at 1:45, the game is immediately over (for example, score is 16-6 in the 4th inning and the 1:45 hits, the game is over).

NOTE – in all cases, all players should get a minimum of one at bat, even if that means a team gets 4 outs in an inning, play an extra 1/2 inning, etc.
